VOLUNTEER INFORMATION & APPLICATION

INTERESTED IN VOLUNTEERING FOR THE WINDSOR-ESSEX FESTIVALS & EVENTS?

The success of the Canada South Festival Network’s member festivals and special events would not be possible without the help of volunteers. Volunteering for the Canada South Festival Network or its members is a wonderful way to explore the Windsor-Essex region and discover all that it has to offer. It is also a great way to make a positive impact on the community and meet new people.

The Shores of Erie Wine Festival, Carrousel By The River and many other events throughout the year rely on the help of volunteers. Each Canada South Festival Network event offers a variety of volunteering opportunities and multiple time frames to fit your schedule. Each event also offers specific benefits to volunteers; these benefits are explained on the individual volunteer form included in this package but often include a free T-shirt and festival admission.

The Canada South Festival Network is grateful to the community supporting its events through volunteering, and new volunteers are always welcomed! Select the event you would like to be a part of and complete the volunteer form.

FESTIVAL, SPORT OR EVENT GUIDELINES

Volunteering for the Canada South Festival Network or its members can be an enjoyable experience. We depend on you as a part of our team to make this event a success. Please read the following guidelines.

1. Must be at least 16 years of age or older.

2. Must maintain poise and professionalism at all times. You are representing the Canada South Festival Network, it’s members and many visitors are relying on your assistance.

3. Arrive in comfortable shoes and attire. Volunteer t-shirts may be assigned by the Canada South Festival Network or the participating festival, sport or event.

4. Must not consume alcoholic beverages during their assignments. When you complete your assignment, please remove your volunteer t-shirt so that you may enjoy the festival, sport or event as a member of the public. Remember: your t-shirt identifies you as a festival, sport or event team member during their events.

5. Refer issues needing special attention to festival, sport or event staff or the Police; please do not try to intervene in any conflicts if you are not a part of the Security team. We have trained and prepared staff and team members for these situations.

6. Should inform a staff member if your assignment is not working out. We will try to reassign you to an assignment you are better suited for, taking into account your skills and interests according to available volunteer opportunities.

7. Those working with entertainment are not to solicit autographs or offer information.
